The large gardens
are full of colour in the summer, well stocked
and maintained and equipped with garden furniture
for guests to relax on those warm summer evenings.
Have a picnic by the pond, savour the peace and
tranquility, have a glass of wine and forget the
pressures of the big wide world.

| A large inglenook
fireplace provides a wonderful ambience in the dining
room, where breakfast is served around a large farmhouse
table. For starters we have a wide choice of cereals,
fruit, yogurts and juice. Followed by a hearty "Aga"
cooked breakfast using our own and locally produced
products, wherever possible. |

Many years ago Lodfin was bordered by part of
the old Exe Valley railway line. Closed in 1963
the old track bed still exists and provides a
very pleasant and level pathway across our land
which leads, after a short walk, to five acres
of ancient woodland, two Carp lakes and a summer
house. Many species of wildlife including deer,
badger, kingfisher, heron, buzzard and otter have
been spotted here. Insects and flora have also
thrived in this area making it our very own paradise.

Bring your
own rod and line and enjoy a days fishing followed
by a bar-b-que on the terrace of the summer house,
then a stroll into the woodland to spot the wildlife.
